Product Description

Introducing the exclusive CanaKit Raspberry Pi 5 Complete Quick-Start AI Kit, featuring the latest iteration of the Raspberry Pi – the Raspberry Pi 5 with 8GB RAM – and the Raspberry Pi AI Kit.

This kit comes fully assembled for plug-and-play convenience, eliminating the need for tedious hardware assembly tasks such as mounting the cooling system and installing the M.2+ HAT with spacers and screws.

Included in this kit is the sleek CanaKit Pi 5 Turbine Case, boasting a high-gloss, polished finish. Also included is a high-performance 128 GB Samsung EVO Plus MicroSD card pre-loaded with the 64-bit version of the Raspberry Pi OS.

The Raspberry Pi AI Kit includes the Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ bundled with a Hailo AI acceleration module designed for use with the Raspberry Pi 5. This combination offers an accessible, cost-effective, and power-efficient solution for integrating high-performance AI into various applications such as process control, security, home automation, and robotics.

The AI module features a 13 tera-operations per second (TOPS) neural network inference accelerator powered by the Hailo-8L chip. Pre-installed in the M.2 HAT+, this module utilizes the M.2 2242 form factor and connects to the Raspberry Pi 5 via an M key edge connector. The M.2 HAT+ facilitates communication between the AI module's M.2 interface and the Raspberry Pi 5's PCIe 2.0 interface. Upon running an up-to-date Raspberry Pi OS image, the host Raspberry Pi 5 automatically detects the Hailo module, making the NPU available for AI computing tasks. Additionally, the built-in rpicam-apps camera applications in Raspberry Pi OS seamlessly support the AI module, utilizing the NPU for compatible post-processing tasks.
