The 191 series of timers are cyclic (repeat cycle) timers with unlimited applications. Depending on the version, they are fully adjustable from approximately 0.5 second to 1 minute (for M1 version), 1 second to 5 minutes (for M5 version), or from 6 seconds to 60 minutes (for M60 version). These timers incorporate a relay that can handle loads of up to 10A / 110V AC or 24V DC. The timers offer independent On and Off time adjustments through two PCB mounted variable resistors, a reset switch to restart at the beginning of the On cycle at any time, as well as screw terminals and adapter jack for ease of wiring. Our new design is much more accurate than typical 555 timer circuits as it is based on counting the frequency of an oscillator using two 4541 programmable timer Integrated Circuits that will send a signal to the relay circuit once they reach a specific count of cycles generated by the oscillator. The oscillator's frequency is varied by the variable resistor which in turn results in different timing periods.
