Telephone Ring LED Indicator with Relay Output

This circuit is a simple visual telephone ring indicator. It can be connected to any telephone outlet and will flash a couple of LEDs when the telephone rings whether or not the telephone ringer is turned on or off. Its ideal for the hearing impaired or for when you need to turn off the telephone ringer but still be able to know when the phone is ringing. The circuit also includes a relay output so that you can connect an external device such as a lamp for better visibility.
